Decking typically runs parallel to a structure because it’s easier to simply run floor joists off a ledger at the house. We took the extra steps to lay a foundation that would let our decking run perpendicularly, then used full 16’ boards. Extra long twenty-foot cedar 1x12s finish off the front skirt seamlessly
